For many athletes, Single Arm Hangs are often more about the stability of the shoulder than they are about strengthening fingers, and rushing too quickly to a smaller edge by taking off weight can reduce the work the shoulder needs to do. In our programs, if we are using Single Arm Hangs, it’s because we WANT the shoulder involved.
