When did you build your wall?
We finished it just about a week or two ago

How long did it take you to build?
One week in between schoolwork, work, and waiting for t nuts

Not including holds and padding, how much did it cost you to build?
    Roughly $200

Did anything in particular inspire your wall design?
Not in particular, but we had very minimal space so we needed something compact but also maximizing everything we could

What was the most difficult aspect of the design and build?
Getting our angled cuts perfect so they would sit flush, we were using a hand saw and it was a little tough getting things perfect

    What would you do differently?
I wouldn’t do much different, thus far I love every part of it, if anything maybe adding a very small kick board

    What is your favorite aspect?
So far I don’t have a favorite part, I’ve just been so stoked every day to walk in my door and see my own climbing wall. I love every aspect of it and can’t wait for all my friends to come over and climb it with me after quarantine

Any words of wisdom to aspiring homewallers?
If you ever thought that building your own wall was out of reach, It’s not! For the longest time I talked with my roommate and friends just casually mentioning “man it would be so cool to have a wall in my place”. One day during quarantine my girlfriend came back at me with “ okay, why don’t you build one then”?. I did and I’m so happy I did! It’s much easier and attainable than you might think!

Do you have any connection to climbing brands or gyms?
I don’t have any connections with brands really but I’m pretty brand loyal towards Black diamond and La Sportiva. As far as gyms, I am the most Loyal to my Local home gym, Terrain Park Climbing Center. I am a former setter and former employee.
