When did you build your wall?
About a week after I closed on my house – April 2017

How long did it take you to build?
The first wall took a solid three weeks, the second took three days. Can’t say I’m the most experienced carpenter.

Not including holds and padding, how much did it cost you to build?
Perhaps $250? Without holds and padding everything is quite cheap.

Did anything in particular inspire your wall design?
The world cup walls! For training purposes, I strongly prefer fixed angle flat walls to those with more going on (bonus: they’re also easier to build)

What was the most difficult aspect of the design and build?
Getting it to sync up and be supported by the existing garage structure.

    What would you do differently?
I would make each wall a little wider as I have a little room on each side. Every bit counts.

    What is your favorite aspect?
Everything fits together in a nice compact space that has everything I need to train solo while still getting to park a car in the garage in Winter.

Any words of wisdom to aspiring homewallers?
Keep the build simple, build as tall and as wide as you can get away with and have a dense t-nut grid.
